Raise the Roof Productions
Trainee Researcher
At Raise the Roof, great storytelling is at the heart of everything we do. Established in 2010, we’re a company that prides itself in creating amazing content and developing incredible talent. We've earned a reputation as a forward-thinking company trusted by major broadcasters to deliver high-quality, ambitious productions.
Specialising in popular unscripted television, we've produced over 760 hours of original content and created more than 40 titles. Our biggest returning brands, including Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas, Love It or List It, and Escape to the Farm with Kate Humble, are sold worldwide. Based in Glasgow, we are the largest independent production company in Scotland.
In 2026, we were proud to be recognised in the top ten of the Best Places to Work in TV by Broadcast magazine, for the ninth consecutive year. Our ethos centres on nurturing creative and diverse talent. We are dedicated to helping our employees grow through training, support, and mentoring. Since 2012, we've partnered with Channel 4 on their training scheme and have extensive experience supporting trainees through various industry initiatives.
We are committed to inclusivity and operate from a modern, accessible building at Pacific Quay in Glasgow. We are proud to be a Real Living Wage Employer and a Disability Confident Employer. We are also affiliates of the Albert scheme, promoting sustainability across all our content.
Our office hours are generally 9:30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m., Monday to Friday, though they can vary by production. Hybrid working options are available, and we encourage meeting-free lunchtimes to allow our team to step away from their desks.
