As one of Wales’ leading independent production companies, Cwmni Da has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, innovative content across a wide range of genres—from children’s programming and factual entertainment to documentary and drama. Established in 1997 and based in Caernarfon, we are proud to be an employee-owned company rooted in Welsh culture and language.

Our 50-plus staff produce content for major broadcasters including S4C, BBC, and Channel 4, with a portfolio that spans long-running series, live events, and internationally distributed co-productions.

Our work has been recognised with numerous industry awards reflecting both creative excellence and technical innovation. We have won a ‘Best Places to Work’ Award from Broadcast in each of the past three years.
